COATO is located in the Guadalentín Valley, an area where, due to its climate and soil conditions, the majority of paprika peppers in Murcia are produced, undoubtedly of the highest quality. For over a hundred years, this area has been supplying the highest quality and quantity of sweet paprika consumed in both the Spanish and European markets. Being producers of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) for Murcia Paprika with a large number of hectares of plantations allows us to guarantee that our product is obtained through the most traditional and artisanal procedures, such as manual destemming. We ensure the origin and sanitary conditions of our product, the ‘bola’ variety pepper, produced entirely in Murcia, with Protected Designation of Origin.

QUALITY CONTROLS ARE CARRIED OUT IN OUR OWN LABORATORY AND ARE CONTRASTED AND GUARANTEED BY HIGH-LEVEL LABORATORIES WITH INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION

Within the same variety, we allocate a portion of the production to organic paprika. We cultivate it without the use of synthetic chemicals, using organic fertilizers to obtain a natural product while preserving soil fertility and respecting the environment.

The modern facilities and machinery dedicated to the milling and transformation of paprika allow us to obtain the widest range of qualities and specifications that our customers may require in a short period.

Quality control of the product is carried out from the production process through pre-drying washing, as well as in its reception and milling. Along with the natural steam sterilization system, it ensures a product with the highest hygiene and safety guarantee.
