COATO is not a typical company; we are a community created to offer what is truly needed: healthy nutrition through sustainable products and processes. Our agricultural cooperative is located in an area with a deep agricultural tradition, Totana (Murcia), next to the Mediterranean highway in the heart of the Guadalentín Valley. It all began in 1979 with 65 producers of paprika peppers. Since then, we have been growing, just like our crops, which are now much more diverse than those initial peppers. Fresh fruits and vegetables, almonds, oil, honey, are some of the products we currently work with. Throughout this journey, we have garnered and continue to receive significant recognition for quality and sustainability, establishing ourselves as one of the most important cooperatives in the sector.

Our fruits and vegetables, peppers for paprika, almond and olive trees, are located in the regions of Murcia, Andalusia, Valencia, and Castilla La Mancha. In total, we occupy over 10,000 hectares, of which more than two-thirds practice sustainable agriculture (organic farming and certified agriculture).
Our facilities span over 50,000 m2, designed and organized into different sections to handle, package, and transform our products in the most efficient and sustainable manner. We believe in constant and direct contact with customers and the people who make up COATO, which is why we invite you to our café-restaurant and our retail store with (BIOSHOP) products.
